That's great that he is able to get around so well. Budgies are so smart and adaptable. Nothing will stop him now. He's lucky to have you as a mom.

I agree with Robbo. Of he can get around and is not in pain, he can have a good life just being himself.

Ive had him out again today but it doesn't just look like splayed legs as the feetvate kind of pointing upside down. Its stange. I don't no I'f he's I'n pain or anything. He looks very skinny and the other baby doesn't look as fed up as he should. Hoping the mum will start and fattern them back up. Really I'n limbo what to do with this little one. Nat can't offer him a new home as she lives too far away

All may not be lost quite yet. I googled a map and found there are key towns on route from Wirral to Cambridge. Stafford, Leicester, Nottingham. 3 hours the whole route. A few people on the forum make trips up and down the country to Stafford bird sale, Newark and Notts I go to once a year. We could possibly divide up the trip? If the chicks makes it through the weaning and is ready to go then we could always see if we could sort something out on meeting half way? I've done quite a few budgie pick ups this way.

Do you remember Spicky who was on the old forum? She had an adult bird called Butters who had both of her legs splayed. I've been to Spickys house a few times and seen the bird is very content and even come out to fly:) Her room is very bird safe so isn't dangerous in any way. If I hadn't have seen Spickys Butters I wouldn't have offered to have your budgie, but having seen Butters happy then I know that life can be ok for a splay leg bird:)

thanks nat. Like i say i have never seen a bird with splayed legs before so dont no if the way the legs are pointing is normal but its feet are pointing completley the wrong way so they are facing up rather than down aswell as the legs pointing straight out to the side. It does try to cling onto my finger with its little foot but i dont think it has a chance at flying at all but like i say i have never seen a splayed legged bird so dont no? I never seen or i dont remember butters. Will get you a video tomorrow anyway just to show you what the legs are exactly like
