I called the vet today to book an appointment, turned out they didn't have anything until next monday. Don't really now what to do now.... Where can I get ivermectin? Went in to the petshop hoping I could find it there but only found some different mite-spray..

On-line seems to be your best bet, unless you are close to someone here who has some. I don't know the company most recommend, I'm sorry. Hopefully a Brit can help you, soon.

Look online at Pharmaq and order the 0.1% Ivermectin from them, mine came very quickly when I ordered from them.

One of my budgies also has a similar issue. I have always thought she was a hen as she has quite a dark brown Cere. Recently, one side of the Cere appears to have broken or crusted away. It is quite a rich blue underneath, like in the first or second photo in the thread. I have had her for 6 months and and it has only just happened. I'm convinced that she is a hen, as my other budgie (Rodney)is definitely a male and the differences between them are significant. Even down to the pressure in the bite - she is a lot more powerful than Rodney. I have them both on Xeno (from the vets) due to some burrowing mites causing a flaky beak in Rodney. I have given them 3 doses every 2 weeks so far. I'm not sure how or if the Cere issue could be a reaction to the Xeno or some underlying issue. Although I have my doubts, side effects from this are rare. Here is the link to Xeno specifications Anyway, I will try and post a photo this weekend so it is a little clearer. I also have another appointment at the Vets in early May after the dose is finished so if he can offer any advice on the cause I'll certainly re-post any info. I hope you get to the bottom of it. You are certainly doing the right thing going to the Vets. Diseases or infestations are actually quite common. The earlier you see a vet the easier and more effective the treatment will be!
