What an exciting and frustrating afternoon,I had just sat down to lunch looked out of the window and a large male peacock was on my garage roof, it was quite tame, I fed it some bread and corn, and it is still there, I rang the local radio station radio Nottingham who are going to put a call out but advised me to ring the RSBP, which I did, and guess what, there not interested , so will have to see what happens, at the moment it's resting,it is a masive bird

We had one fly out onto the road in front of us in rural NZ. Of course it is pretty heavily settled so never too far from a house, but still......wasn't quite the bird-life we were expecting!!! One cold night, Brian, and Peko will be happy to go home I'm sure!

Must have been quite frightening Hezz to have a big bird like that fly out at you, my brother in law had a pheasant hit is window screen and it dislodged it in to the car...........,hopefully peko will be home soon

It gave us more a surprise than a shock. But a pheasant is a solid sort of a bird, I imagine it would do some damage. Did Peko go home?

He doesn't seem that bothered to me,I don't want to keep it with Millie here it wouldn't be fair to her, going to give him another ring..........

Gorgeous bird, wonder where it came from? People don't keep them as pets do they?
