Yes take him to the vets tomorrow, I definitely would....put white paper in the travel cage so the vet can have some good fresh samples of his poop there and then. Good luck Rocky! x

Hi there So sorry to hear you're worried about Rocky. It is horrible when they're not well. I'd say folow your instincts and take him to the vet tomorrow. I always think you know as their owner if something isn't right Some budgies do go downhill when they are moulting by the way. It is quite an arduous process for them. There is always a posibility it could be that. They can swallow feathers also! But it shouldn't make him ill. Hope he is ok xxx

Thanks everyone he's been really chatty and lively this afternoon so I'm sure it's not anything serious. Ive noticed him eating paper off of one of his toys that he hadn't touched before so he could have overdone it on that, he doesn't do anything by halves lol I'll be on the phone to the vets first thing tomorrow though, and I'll let you know how it goes x

Awh thank you so much everyone. Poops gradually getting back to normal this evening so vet will probably think I'm a nutter but I'm going to go anyway, better safe than sorry

Remember you have not only got the poops to worry about - how is the squeak? I didn't notice tail-bobbing either, so that is good. Always better safe than sorry with these little guys, but hopefully the vet will have him sorted in no time. Good luck with the visit.

Morning He's still squeaking Hezz but not quite as much. He had a little coughing fit yesterday but only the once. Poop much more like normal but still a little yellow. Got a vets appointment at 4pm today, we're off to see Nathalie at Scott's who's the exotic/avian specialist and part of the Woburn vet team. Hopefully she can figure out what's going on with Rocky! He's fine in himself today, chatting away still, if with a slightly croaky voice and the odd weird squeak. Will let you know how it goes later x
