Well I can confirm desktop Henry is useless! He managed to lift less than a teaspoon of husks before I give up. When I switched him off, half of the husks he'd lifted fell out of the hose and back into the bowl I took a video on my phone so I'll upload it tomorrow and you can judge for yourselves.. Awk well, it was worth a try. My normal cylinder hoover was the opposite, I turned it on and held it about a foot above the bowl, nothing happened... moved it about 3cm closer and fooomp, fresh seeds and all vanished up the hose in a split second I'd like a happy medium please lol.

Just make sure neither of your buds are near the business end Nettles. If that little Henry is anything like his big brother well, he sure is a sucker. Definitely no danger there OP! Now I remember why I'd stuffed him away in a storage cupboard in the first place. The real Henry could show him a thing or two

I put the nozzle on my animal dyson and tap the food pot, hold the nozzle at an angle about an inch from the seed, tap, suck, tap, suck and just the empty husks go up, mind you I started doing it with a vacuum at least 42 years ago so a dab hand at it now.

Aha practice makes perfect! My hoover isn't anywhere near as powerful as a Dyson so I must need to work on the angle lol. Do u use the crevice tool? I just pulled the metal tube off and used the round hose.. Oops! Couldn't believe it sucked everything up! I just sat there staring at the empty bowl
