This is just brilliant! I can't believe how good they are, and their little noises they were making when you gave them the almonds! You are so lucky to have these big fellas as wild birds, as everyone else says, beats having a big fat pigeon anyday!

Absolutely amazing...made my day seeing that video. What a gift to have them visit. They are so very well kept as well. Thanks stace. Their white feathers were remarkably clean and bright. They look freshly laundered. OMG! This is F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S! I am so envious! (In a nice way of course) I dont know why but I expected them to say thank you! They were very polite weren't they? They were extremely polite, Sam. Not a rabble at all. They very delicately accepted the nuts I was giving them, and each waited their turn. Although one of them did have a bit of a chew on the cord operating the outdoor bamboo blinds. I guess these parrots live for a very long time, 50 or 60 years for some, so there's ample opportunity for them to become accustomed to people even though they are wild birds. Ohh that's amazing, they are just beautiful, what a treat . Like BB, it beats the big fat pigeon that visits my back door every day . It will be interesting to see if they return for more goodies , im well jel. We'll see if they return. I was worried they'd start wrecking the joint, but they were so well behaved. I can now recognise two of the tree. One has a sort of belly button, where he's got a dot of missing feathers. And one has a bung eye. The left eye was glassy, so I'm thinking he's blind on one side. He turned his head in a funny manner to see with his good eye.

I was so tempted to give them a little stroke. Will I, won't I, will I, won't I. Then I thought I might just be pushing it. They are wild birds after all. Those huge beaks could so easily chomp through a finger. Even so, they were very gentle as they accepted their nuts from my hand.

The first bird was more trusting than the rest. Stunning birds. Besides Goldie, the best-looking visitors to my fire escape have been mourning doves.
