yes you are right.. although my worries probably shouldnt be worries, like the bleeding bits/sore bits above his cere, which still keeps happening although he is still losing feathers and has pinnies.. once that stops, if it continues, I will take him to the vet
but it is the reading up sometimes that can cause more concern, even with ourselves...
but thank goodness regardless for this forum... and help/advice

Little update: Hector's "lump" has not grown at all. Hopefully it wont and wont annoy him at all or get in the way. Fingers and wings crossed. x

Yay! That's great news. Good boy, Hector. Stop worrying your mum and get back to budgie business as normal.

So happy, Marianne. That must be a load off your mind. Of course you will keep an eye on him in the future, I don't doubt that for a minute, but for the short term you can breathe a sigh of relief. I am sure Hector is happy too.

^ Currently Hector is looking at me from a distance, about to start squawking because I am not paying him enough attention.

Thanks, samwiseg. I'd like to thank my family, my friends, and of course my budgie, without whom I would never have been able to achieve such a honour….(cue orchestra)
