I didn't realise baytril may not sort out the cause of the problem, ImGlad you made me aware of that. I did think of some kind of probiotic, a parrot website I looked at had guardian angel and some otherstuff that was a probiotic ,which do you think would be better?

Guardian Angel! Everyone on here who can access the stuff swears by it. Unfortunately Baytril is becoming the penicillin of the animal world, I feel. If in doubt, give baytril. Mis-used and over-used. I had this happen to me as well ...... my bird actually got worse, until I took her off it. Not that I am saying take her off it, not at all, but just be aware this may happen.

Any update on this as my daughters budgie has the exact same problem and Im getting worried as all the info ive been looking at is pointing to avian Chlamydiosis Psittacosis

belle seems much better, the noisy breathing and tailbobbing have stopped. I ordered some guardian angel ,it arrived today so shes got that in her water for a few days. Im still watching her very closely and will take her back to the vet if I notice anything else. Hope yourbudgie will be ok.
