These kinds of things are really upsetting. I had a terrible incident with Noah once and he pulled through. Since I have always been wanting to make a hospital cage. I wonder if anyone on this site has made a nice one. We can't buy them in Canada.
Hope he is still healing.

I haven't a picture of mine but its just a small cage and i set it up depending on the incident or condition of the bird. I had thought of setting it up for Jo for a few days but i think he is pulling through with the help of his friends this time .

My sky broke a wing feather a few years back. I couldn't believe how much blood there was.
Managed to stem the bleeding with some flour and just kept him in a small cage overnight, by my bed to monitor him.
Luckily he was fine, but it was terrifying.

Dreadful isn't it, its happened before but not on this scale, i could smell the blood as soon as i walked into the room, sorry not nice i know but it was unbelievable , i didn't want to take the cover off .

If you jam a dowel perch in the bottom, they can even perch just off the ground. Have a google. You might need a thermometer to gauge how warm it is.

So pleased that Jojo seems to be not much worse for wear, skysmum. I do hope he starts putting some weight on that leg soon, and hasn't don't it any real damage. Smooches and hugs for Jojo, hope you're feeling better, little guy.
