Another set back  lost the remaining chick today. Not a clue why. It was very lively this morning. Full crop of food any everything. 2 weeks old. Back to the drawing board. First experience of aviary breeding not so good... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

That is not good. It would help to know why. This might be the time to think about caged pairs for next time. |

Colony breeding has many problems and losing chicks and eggs is one of them.

Okay, little update for you all. The blue hen managed to lay again before the green hen lost her final chick. Long story short, I now have the below chick at about 19 days old.
