As some of you know i had to say goodbye to my old aviary recently as when we took it apart to relocate it we found it was in a worse state than we thought and had started rotting from the floor up . Well i ordered what is to become my new Aviary today and im just a bit excited . It will evolve over the winter months and be ready for the spring. I will post pics here as it develops .

How exciting for everyone! Are we allowed to know more? No . Sorry it was late when i posted last night. So this is a pic of it, its a local firm so ive had an alteration to the windows, instead of two on one side ive asked for one each side near to the door, this will enable us to make half of the inside into the internal flight. We will probably put another window in the door ourselves, i will see how much light the two give first. It is 6ft x 4ft, ive ummed and arred on size for weeks, i would have liked bigger but this one will fit into the space with enough space to walk all round, good for maintenance. Ive gone for an Apex roof instead of Pent as we had lots of problems with the flat roof leaking on the other one. It will be insulated inside and we will put on an external flight of the same size with double entry doors as i wont be able to gain access internally. That's the plan's at the moment, the external flight size may change depending on the angle i have the shed at. So that's about it for now, delivery in about a week .

Well im gonna have a whinge, its been one of those days today where everything that can go wrong HAS gone wrong, im wound up like a spring . I rang the shed company this morning asking when i could expect the shed, it was due week commencing the 1st Oct . The man said he would get back to me NOT, another phone call from me at 4.30 and i got his wife who i delt with when ordering the shed, i had a whinge about not being called back. She said she would contact him and get him to ring me straight away, half an hour later he rang with the news that my shed was in BUT they had put the windows in the wrong place . They had been put in each side of the centre of the shed instead of at the front which is about as useful to me as a chocolate tea pot. My options were, A. accept that one B. wait another three weeks for the next order to come in or C. take one that had come in with three windows down one side. Thinking on the spot i chose the three window option as OH and i had discussed maybe putting an internal side flight in anyway. This one would have been more expensive anyway because of the extra window, i got a bit of a good will/grovel discount with the promise of a Saturday morning delivery. I don't know, nothing is easy these days is it , we shall see what Saturday brings . Whinge over, im still wound up, thanks for listening

I think I would getting ready to tell them to put the shed where the sun would never shine on it, and ask for my money back. Be prepared to fight for it.
