It's too early to tell I know but.....Bertie has just scaled down the side of his cage and started eating from his cuttlebone! As he was doing it I realised he hasn't done this for quite a while. He is also eating from his seed dish and not just eating his millet. Go little Bertie!

No sick! No sick! No sick! Today is the first day Bertie hasn't been sick! He is currently perched on his seed dish eating away. I hope I am not being premature with saying this but.... I am so pleased! His droppings are very watery and yuk, although I've noticed with others when they are on medication or the likes, their droppings do go watery and weird. Thank you guys, I'd of still been giving him antibiotics vet gave him if it wasn't for you lot. This forum is like a font of all knowledge!

Spoke to soon. No sick this morning, came home at lunchtime and sick!
Past two days I have syringed him some drops of the stuff to him, as well as have it in his water bowl. I decided not to syringe this morning, hoping he was on the med and would continue drinking from his bowl to get the meds. Have just cleaned his cage up and syringe some to him.
Argh.

Poor Bertie, but the sick is less, so I am still holding out hope that this will cure him.

Yes this is true, the sick is less. Plus we have had two full days of no sick which was marvellous.

Keep making sure he has his meds; that does seem to be helping, rather than rely on water dosing. Poor Bertie; I feel sorry.

Syringed meds to him this morning - no sick as yet. He started singing to Gene today - and has started eating his cuttle bone again, although not his seeds from his seed tray. He is munching his millet though.

I don't think he is getting any better He's been on ronivet for 7 days now, and the sick has stooped completely on some days, and not as much on the days he has been sick. He eats, and drinks, and goes to his cuttlebone and has that. He looks to be panting, his breathing isn't right. My first instinct is back to the vet, but as good as they are the next step is bloods and I don't want to put him through having an anaesthetic. Do I put him back on baytrall, or Tylan, or keep him on ronivet. Help - I don't know what to do.

Oh no. Poor boy. Is it worth ringing the vet in case a better medicine first?
