And here is the first problem I'm faced with, pair 3 in nestbox 4 abandoned her nest due to it getting wet from a leak in the aviary roof, which I thought I had sorted out but with the heavy rain we had water is still coming through Attachments:

I found the hen from pair 3 which abandoned her eggs in nestbox 4 had moved to nestbox 3 and laid another egg there, she had prepared this nestbox 3 initially as you can see the chewed pieces of wood and moved 3 days before laying her very first egg to nestbox 4 but is now back to nestbox 3 Attachments:

So I transferred the 3 eggs from nestbox 4 to nestbox 3, hope firstly that the eggs were not damaged by the water getting into the nestbox, and secondly I hope that she accepts the eggs and incubates them Attachments:

Finally found an egg in nestbox 13, was waiting for this pair to lay for some time now, for the purpose of this journal, will refer to this pair as "Pair Number 5". Will post pics of the parents when I get a chance, both are dominant pieds, the hen seems to be lavender in colour and the cock is a dominant light green pied Attachments:

Another pair which I was waiting to lay, laid the first egg in nestbox 18, for the purpose of this journal we will refer to this pair as "Pair Number 6". The hen is a lutino and the cock is a normal green, will take out a pic of the cock as soon as I get a chance Attachments:

And to my surprise I found this egg in nestbox 24, not sure who the parents are cos I never saw any budgies go into this box, must be from the new lot that I added, but will just have to wait and see, as you can see this egg is more long than oval, when compared to other eggs laid by my other hens, will keep you guys posted with an update in a few days time. Thanks Lushen Attachments:

Yup Buddy I also hope that the eggs hatch, and yes that egg in nestbox 24 does look longer, and I suspect that its from one of the hens from the new lot I recently put it, I suspect the shape of the egg could have soomething to do with the diet they were getting at the previous owners house, but I could be wrong. Could diet have anything to do with egg size and shape?
