I'm convinced they do it just to confound us!

Poor Eeyore. Maybe he just doesn't like being weighed.

Eeyore is a very self-conscious birb. I wonder whether the other budgies tease him?

Hopefully this is readable if you download it or zoom it Mostly stable weights amongst the budgies although Herman bounces up and down a little. Squeak is slowly losing weight which worries me greatly. Still awaiting further contact from the vet despite a request for a update and I'm becoming annoyed now. Chocobo varies according to whether she's carrying eggs or not. Finarfin has so far declined to be weighed. He's so tiny, he may be self-conscious!

Yes, Squeak is quite light isn't she.
Don't blame you for being annoyed with the vet, they should get back to you!

Latest weight data. Eeyore is rock-steady on his 49g, he barely moves from that. Finarfin still a lightweight, and Chocobo continues to grow eggs. She spent a brief time in her flowerpot nest yesterday.

I'm attempting a weighing today but most of the flock is way too busy (no pun intended).
I did get a (surprising) value for Sandy - 39g, same as Squeak's last weighing. Yet she looks tiny compared to Squeak!

Finrod's weight is cycling back down now. It's too early to tell though whether this is his normal cycle or if it's the MT that is having an effect.

The pellets now seem to be a fixture in the diet, at least for some of the birbs. I don't know whether all of them partake.
I suspect one budgie of not bothering with them - Mr Hibs. He mobs me when I am putting out the food bowls in the morning and is always first up for the seed ration - it's possible he still has too high a seed proportion in his diet. And alone of all the birbs, his weight has crept up. Thinking cap time.
My smaller-framed budgies have all lost weight, together with my chonkies, which I consider a good thing and the only one whose weight concerns me now is Mr Hibs.
Hector is funny since the diet change. His weight has been relatively constant, a small loss followed by a small gain. He is becoming a little more assertive now and is a regular attendee at the weighing sessions. This morning, when I was rolling out the food bowls, he was on top of the Night-time cage, waiting patiently for something good to happen. As he usually gets nudged aside at these times, I offered him the bowl where he was. A brief hesitation and then he was perched on the side, helping himself to the new day's seed ration. He's becoming so brave!

That’s ap great that you can weigh them regularly I have trouble with that I can’t seem to get them close to the scale I even put a millet on it but they’re scared of it and immediately fly away when I try Any suggestions?

I first had to make sure that the birbs all liked millet and that they'd perch on my hand or at least, allow me to feed them by hand. Once they were accustomed to eating millet (some might say, addicted!), I then presented the millet spray by elastic-banding it to the weighing perch. The weighing perch needs to be high enough that the birbs still feel comfortable but low enough to be able to read the scale! I have tall tables I can use for this purpose. Initially, you might need to leave the scales out all day, so that the birds get used to them being there. You might not be able to get readings initially but as the birds become more confident, your opportunities will come. And as ever, if one birb is enjoying free millet, the others are sure to follow.

I'm just going to give a shout-out to Berek, who has lost an astonishing amount of weight since the change in diet and thanks in no small part to Prothall's weight-loss exercise program. Berek is a much healthier budgie these days.
Unfortunately, Prothall refuses to be weighed. Just now, he breezed past the weighing-perches with their millet bribes and headed straight to the pellet food bowls. He is such a health-nut and loves those pellets.

I seem to have shamed Prothsll into weighing himself today, the first time in weeks. He's hardly moved from his last recorded weight

Thank you Loz I appreciate your input I will start putting infront of them and hopefully soon they’ll get used to it they already love millets and eat from my hand so we’re half way there 😁👍 thank again
