I am thinking that I might try Avia with my budgies. Do any of you use it?
We were in Asda today and have written down the info on the back of the packets as to what vits they have in them.
I believe that they both have the three kinds of millet with Canary seed and a small amount of oats.
Avia has a Citrusy smell, not sure why they put that in, can't think of as reason for it, anyway here are the stats:
Avia (£1.26/500g pk) Vit A - 515iu/kg Vit D3 - 150iu/kg Vit B2 - 0.4mg/kg Vit B12 - 7mg/kg Iodine - 4mg/kg Calcium - 43mg/kg Lysine - 0.1%
Trill (£1.55 500g pk) Vit A - 4000iu/kg Vit D3 - 1050iu/kg Vit E - 100iu/kg Potassium Iodide - 1mg
Vit A - Helps prevent infection, protects eyes, essential for growth & reproduction Vit B - Growth & digestion Vit B12 - Maintain general health D3 - Bones Iodine - Prevents disease Lysine - Builds healthy body

You can see on the package that all their emphasis is on golden grains. But in fact it is a basic part of every good seed mix these days.

I don't really care about their advertising strategy, just the facts!
The Avia is cheaper then the Trill and seems to have a wider variety of vitamins.

The Avia I used does not have any vitamins. It's just two types of millet (golden and white), canary seeds and oats groats.

REmember Marianne that BB's Avia product may not be the same as yours in the UK. Like we discussed before with the Trill.

I realised that Stace. But the packet looks the same. How weird that they would make one without the vits in it.

Like we discussed before with the Trill. This one looks the same, at least with the pictures I compared from UK websites. I'll post a close up.

If it's got vits then it will say on the back of the packet.

How weird that they would make one without the vits in it. Welcome to our world Even some famous multinational companies have different strengths of shampoos and washing powders than west.
