awww Mac's poor lumpy leg, do you think it may eventually go in time or is the lump the calcified bone? yeah his knee's were grand once they'd fully healed thank goodness, we were always a little bit neurotic about him damaging them again (as you can image) but amazingly he never had any trouble with them again...although in later years as a little old fella when he'd been a bit too energetic he'd get this odd loping walk which we always blamed his bockety ol' knee's on but of course that could easily have been a bit of arthritis, it feels so very strange talking about Polo in past tense, he only passed away last week...i cant quite believe it tbh

Poor Polo. RIP Polo. Sorry to hear that HB. They are hard to get by without, when they have been part of your life for so long. My last old girl lasted to the ripe old age of 15 - she was a bitza. They always seem to be the hardiest. I think Mac's lump is the calcified bone. There is no give in it at all.

Glad things are going ok with Mac, Alfie and Tilly still try and paw their Haltie's off but once we are walking they are ok, Alfie can drive us a bit mad as he will keep headbutting our leg in the hope that it will drop off ;D secret is to keep the lead quite short.

Yes, Skysmum, the wet nose on the back of the leg gets a bit tiresome after a while. I realised why he was doing it but mine has a built-in collar and I am able to pull it up quite tight. He rolls around in the grass for minutes when I first let him off to run trying to remove it, but it gets in the way while he is running if I loosen it so I leave it on his nose. Not the most popular move but he will learn to live with it!
