I have never seen anything like him x That's probably because you have seen less budgie chick pictures and more grown budgie pictures. It's quite common that Spangle chicks look like this. Brian from our forum had quite a few similar looking chicks.

Now that is confusing to me BB. Having Blue series birds that look like Greens.

Would this make him an olive spangle if he had a grey factor BudgiesBuddy? I am certainly interested on what mutation Mango is I have never seen anything like him x An easy way to remember this, if a budgie has a Grey Factor, the word Grey be in his name. So a Green Budgie with Grey Factor will be Grey Green. And a Green Budgie with Two Dark Factors will be Olive. Gotcha. Thank heavens you took a degree on budgie mutations!

BB, you showed photos of one of Nev's birds as a baby and with adult plumage but I have no idea what thread it was in, but recently. The young bird was really quite blue in its body feathers, but as an adult you would be hard pushed to find any blue at all. Your comment at the time was about the difference in visuals, and that without the immature photos, you would not guess that the bird had a blue factor happening at all. Do you remember this, at all?? I would like to compare where Mango is now to that baby bird. Plus, just to give you a push, if you were starting to relax, do you think Mango will look like your Grey-green birdie, as an adult???

Whatever they all are and whoever they belong to they sure are really attractive budgies! (I'm slowly learning a little more about the complex mix-it-up of budgie colours)

- had more of a retentive memory
- and zebras (once you know their parentage for sure) are pretty straight forward by comparison

Now that is confusing to me BB. Having Blue series birds that look like Greens. Some Blue budgies can look like Green budgies. Sometimes so perfectly, that only the breeder can tell (from breeding results) that this is a Blue (white based) budgie. It is because of the Yellow Face spreading into body of Blue budgies. Take any color, and mix yellow in blue. What would be the result?

My Grey Green is not a Spangle, so it's not possible that Mango would look like him. I will search for that thread

Now that is confusing to me BB. Having Blue series birds that look like Greens. Here is Nev's Sky Blue before and after molt. Very very few would have guessed by looking only at the second picture that it is a Blue series bird and not a Green series bird.
