![](http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll78/nev90/2011/122-1.jpg) This is a Dark Green Spangle baby. Sorry, BB. This is the baby I was meaning ....... I didn't realise it was one of Nev's birds too, but should have realised it wasn't one of yours as you always watermark your photos. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) To me, Mango is more blue on the belly than this one, but nowhere near as much as the skyblue baby. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Thank you, yes these were the photos I was thinking of.

Hezz, unusual green in budgies, can sometime be an indication that the budgie is a white based budgie. I can tell that in person. For Mango, we will have to wait until his molt. Or, the breeder can tell from his experience with the pair.

If it makes any difference, I think Fluoro was a darker green than Mango, although I didn't know Fluoro before his first moult.

Fluoro was a Normal Green. He must have had black flights with yellow edging, and that is what I see in the picture above.

Oops, I think you are looking at Sparky. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Sparky is a normal green. Fluoro is the bird furthest left on the photo. His flights were white with a small amount of dark shading on the tips.

Yep this one is my limit in budgie genetics ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) All I can point out is that he (?) is opaline, spangle and yellowface. I am stumped on his body colour ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) EDIT: From the first pic you put up hezz my guess is that he is a blue series bird coming through with the mothers colour. But in the other pics he looks more green. Is the first pic a good interpretation of his body colour? EDIT AGAIN: Never mind that ^ Im confusing myself ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png)

After seeing the photos BB showed us of Nev's bird as a youngster and adult, I will be interested to see if Mango completely loses the blue-ness on his body colour. It seems that this is more than likely. Sounds like Mango would more likely be a Grey-green spangle, I think. Grey Green Spangle is what I initially thought, and that's what I still think, because of the Grey cheek patches I see in the pictures. I know how the budgie colors can look different to some non-breeders. You post about Mango having some bluish look made me think twice. This is what has me stumped BB because you can see slight patches of blue...
