Hello all, I inherited the budgerigar a little while ago, but now find I need to find a new home for him. Having been diagnosed with two lots of cancer, one incurable, I will not at some time in the future be in a position to take care of him. He is a three years old male bird, colours as seen in the attached photo.. There are two cages, the large one being on its own roller stand. Book, videos and toys? are included. I live in Diss, South Norfolk. Offers please. Geoff Halstead

Hello Geoff - welcome to the forum but so sorry it is in such difficult circumstances for you. We have a good record on here for rehoming budgies so here's hoping so that you can concentrate on yourself.

Good luck with this Geoff, and good luck too with your health - I hope you are able to fight these off. Obviously I am not able to help you out, but I certainly hope you are able to find someone for your budgie - he is a gorgeous boy.

Welcome Geoff. It might be worth asking local vets to put up a note as some of their clients may be on the look out. I wish you luck with it and hope you can fight your ill health

He's still with me, so anyone interested can come and collect. Not looking for payment, just a good home.

Oh! I'm so sorry for your news. I am too far away also. The budgie and cages do look beautiful. I as the others sincerely wish you luck in finding a good home for your budgie. Once upon a time I would have loved a trip to Diss, sadly I am not able to make that sort of journey on my own. Good wishes for the time you have. Pray that the incurable can become curable.

I would gladly take him if we could get him here. Does anyone know of a good reliable pet courier that's not too expensive? That's if you don't mind him being couriered. I have cages and he could even join my 9 in my indoor aviary.

I have no objection to him being couriered. Would prefer the cages to go as well. Geoff

Sorry that things haven't worked out for you, Geoff. He is a beautiful bird too, I am sure he has a nature to match. I am no help to you but good luck with everything.
