When I look at his stance and the way he displays himself I think maybe he was bred for showing, but alas was not up to the mark for various reasons thus passed on to the pet shop trade. At least he was given the chance of a life. I have sort of trained him to be a pet budgie, but he still has and always will have the show genes. Am I somewhere near the mark BB?

I bet you are OP - reason is because our bunch are very similar. Only Alfie is the one that really goes "mad" at anything because he hasn't known any different. We got him from young whereas the others were already matured. But I still maintain Joey is one fine budgie

It appears so But it will be confirmed when they are pictures together.

What a Wonderful bunch of folk you are on here...OP, that was awesome to care and welcome Whiskers into your home...and as for Geoff, sorry for your ill health…such a very selfless and kind gesture you have done for your little pal...Hugs to you both.

Thank you Susannah, it is the forum members as a whole that make it what it is. I have a constant reminder of Geoff in Whiskers. Unfortunately I have lost contact with Geoff and fear he may have succumbed to his illness. What a selfless and wonderful man. I was really proud to have met him.
