I knew what would happen reading the posts, I'm running out of bog roll Glad both of you arrived home safely. I knew the moment you approached Whiskers, that he was going to be happy in his new home with you. OP, when Whiskers jumps onto the bars, he just wants to show his affection by nibbling your lips. He was doing that when you came into the lounge the first time. He was so gentle doing so, he never once made me feel apprehensive. (Edit - He was gentle from the first time he did so.) He also enjoyed preening my beard. Cannot believe he has adopted you so quickly. Oh sugar more bog roll needed. Geoff - Somewhat sad but happy Geoff, I would be out of bog roll as well. I can't imagine having to do what you have just done. That was one of the most unselfish acts I have come across. Take care, you good man.

Yes I remeber now Geoff, I'm afraid my memory is not what it used to be. Whiskers certainly is such a friendly chap. I will see if he will nibble my lips, he certainly does my nose. When he first jumps against the bars it is a bit startling but when you see his face you can tell it is not hostile. I don't think he rested much last night is is poo is all over the place on the bottom of the cage. It will take a little while for him to really settle. You had better get some more bog roll now Start thinking happier thoughts now though. Whiskers is going to be happy thanks to your efforts kindness and forethought.

Hi Geoff . Joined forum when I read your sad story as I need to find find companion for my lad who is missing his friend. He is about three. I live in suffolk and so felt for you as we seem so far from anywhere. Glad to see this morning he has been re homed. Even tho I have missed the chance of an obviously very loved companion. I know whoever has him will adore him. So I still am on the look out if anyone nearby needs a lovely home.

Glad you have caught up Moogie. I am just catching up. I went to bed about 21:00 last night and crashed out until 04:00 tossed & turned 'til 05:30. Up and at it again. Been catching up with the forum in between getting both budgies watered an cleaned out. A bit of time to me know. Selfish aren't I.

You are FAR from selfish OP. Take some time out, that was a long drive after all, and pretty stressful I would imagine! Have a break. The buds can take time to sing from one room to the other finding out about each other!!! I wonder if you will notice the extra noise???

Thank you 'Shirls' It was a long drive doing it both ways in a day, but not as stressful as I thought it would be. The noise level does go up quite often. To say whiskers is a small chap he sure can make a song. Of course as soon as Joey hears him he has join in. I think they try to out do each other then.

My lot don't pay much attention to the TV until its turned around when we have dinner - suddenly Sir Wigg appears from nowhere to study the magic box

Budgies are so funny! Love Sir Wigg and the Magic Box. Sounds like a children's story.
