I'm sure it'll be a relief to you AND spyro when the plaster comes off tomorrow. Just hope he behaves himself

Hey, everyone. Spyro is doing really well, thank you all very much. His leg looks beautifully straight; Karen is happy with it, so I am too. He had made such a mess of the plaster that she didn't need to knock him out to take the rest off (maybe he KNEW! ). His long toes front and back are rather stiff, but I do see him bending them around sometimes, so am quietly confident that he will get the strength back there in due course - up to a month was the time frame mentioned. He is still in isolation with part of a perch off the floor and this will gradually be lifted over the course of a week or so, depending on how he is doing. So, such a relief, now for the hard part of keeping the frustration levels down so he doesn't try anything silly.

Come on now Spyro, you have to be a good boy and let your Mum's blood pressure get back to normal,so, no gymnastics around that cage Fantastic news Hezz

I have noticed that he is quite happy to use and exercise his toes during the morning; by the time the day is finishing the leg and toes must be starting to tire and he often has that foot up but the toes aren't curled up like they would normally be, so he still has a bit of rehab to do. He has two low perches, his seed is now in a pot that he has to hop onto, but relatively smooth, a cat ball that he has been giving a hard time and his little swing with mirror into which he is chatting up a storm. The swing isn't swinging as yet - I took off one arm and it is attached low down to the side of the cage, but he seems to like sitting up there and chatting nevertheless. All good signs.
