It is the hardest thing of all, that waiting game ....... taking the cover off every morning, steeling yourself to be prepared for the worst. But it sounds like Teddy is still enjoying his life, so hopefully you will have many more months of his lovely self. Make the most of every second you can spend with him; that is all you can do, really. *Hugs*

Aw, I'm so sorry to hear this about Ted I haven't been on the forum for a while so just catching up. You will know exactly when, and like Hezz says, spend every minute you can with the little man. How was he today?

Reminded me of Tara our last beagle, just walked to the vet as if she was on her daily walk, but didn't come back! Terrible time, I was a gibbering heap for days but she didn't know and I don't think she was in pain as she ate until her last meal (sorry, this is so sad!)......she had cancer and was 12 1/2. They are so stoic and live in the 'now' I believe, which is good.
How old is Teddy skysmum? Just curious.....I had a 'lavender' bird a few years ago and I reckon it must have had a tumour when I got it, but I didn't notice, as I only had him 3 month!! A beautiful bird but he just passed away quietly, I was very green in those days, I've learned such a lot since then (mainly from this forum!) Hope Teddy also passes quietly when the time comes. Sad!

He's your little man skysmum. You know him better than anyone else would. You'll know when it's time and make the right decision for him. Thinking of both you and Teddy xx

He is 9 almost 10 Millie. I had a similar experience with my little Beagle Tess , i question why we do this to ourselves sometimes.

So, today we start a new regime and i know im clutching at straws now but i figure ive nothing to loose.
I have started Ted on a mixture of Bicarbonate of soda, ACV and a tiny bit of honey to make it more drinkable, ive done a bit of reading and the Bicarb has been known to shrink some tumours. He is on mainly fruit and veg with just a couple of teaspoons of seed a day. Of course to do this ive had to separate him into a cage of his own but he seems fine with it so i will wait and see, anything is worth a try now i feel.

I feel for you skysmum, I've been there too, although my first wee boy Charlie didn't have a tumour. Animals know when they are truly loved, and Ted is one of those. Thinking of you, and sending big hugs to little Ted x

All the good wishes for you and Ted.

Thanks to all for your good wishes . BB he has had it for around 2 years with no problems but it has grown dramatically this last 6 to 8 weeks and he has not been himself, which has lead me to believe that things are going down hill fast with him. However, i may be jumping the gun here but i have noticed a huge change in him today, it is day three of his mixture and diet and i can report that he is VERY chatty and moving around much better, his poo has gone from being large pale an watery to normal . I have increased the ACV to 6ml in a pint of water with half a tsp of Bicarbonate of soda, the ACV can be increased to 13ml which is high so im getting him used to it gradually, the honey is being reduced to prevent the water spoiling, im changing it twice a day. He is readily eating his Kale every day plus other fruit and veg. The tumour has gone from being very red and angry to a healthy pink. As i say i may be jumping the gun but i want to record these changes as they happen, for myself and others. Keeping my fingers crossed, not necessarily for a cure as i know this is unlikely but just to make him more comfie and buy us more time .
