It must be a nightmare to keep tabs on him if your open plan like that . What is it with them, my Chilli has an obsession with the water feeders on the cages, he goes round chewing round the rims where the bottom bit meets the fountain picking and picking, reading about Boo and your tap reminded me what an obsession it is, its a good job they get scrubbed every day . I hope Boo continues to do well stace. What is it with them, indeed. Boo gets his little sticky beak into everything. Chilli is pretty full on too. It's the inquisitive ones who get themselves into trouble the most.

He is such a busy bird, its like he is on speed all the time .

Mmmm peas in a pod i think, i very rarely see Chilli napping in the day, even when the others are having their mid afternoon snooze he can often be found chatting himself up in the mirror .

UPDATE: OH took him to the vet today for a check on progress. All good. Just a phone call on Monday to check lab results and we should be all clear. Yay.
We're thinking about getting a new kitchen mixer tap. But, geez, they are expensive.
The plastic bag over the tap isn't going to work for long. I'm pretty sure he's just going to start eating that and we're into another drama.

We do pick 'em don't we? He picked me. For a mug, it seems. That's great news about Boo. Budgies!!!! They are an absolute nightmare, but don't we just love them Yes. I do love him. But he is a nightmare. My vet made a deadpan joke about having to get a whole new kitchen. But given I've just funded my vet's new yacht, I don't have much cash left over.

Sounds like a new tap would be cheaper than funding her second yacht! Very pleased to hear Boo is soon to get the all clear x

How's the little imp doing today stace? He's been really good. The bad stuff in his gut is all gone, but he's still got a low level enterobacter bacterial infection in his crop. That's normal environmental bacteria that the birds would usually shrug off through natural defences, but he's picked up because his immunity is lowered through the illness. Vet says the natural antibiotic programme I've put him on for the next couple of months should get rid of that.
