Need more photos, Learner! Pretty please??? All sitting on the perch being big boys would be lovely ....... Mum too, if she likes. I have just spoken to them about posing on the perch and although they are happy to oblige presently they are preoccupied stuffing their beaks with breakfast! It is 5:30am after all. Tom is fluffing feathers, Gerry's still in bed as is Mum while Dad is feeding himself & the little nipper. I may be wrong but I thought I saw Tom nibble millet spray as Dad avoided sharing all of his early morning munch. Photos asp.

New cage almost ready for the big move once the twins are all set.
Fluffy Grey (mum) is now sitting on four eggs along with the help of the twins who still spend more time in the nest than out of it. Neither parents seem to object.
Yesterday Charlie sat on one side of his partner (Fluffy Grey) and one of the chicks sat on the other side of her. Charlie preened Fluffy's head and the baby was busy preening his mother's back... until she spotted me and decided to return to the nest-box. She gently pushed the baby to one side and left. It was lovely to view them being so gentle and caring towards each other.
Let's hope it lasts as long as possible.
(Photos not forgotten but I rarely have a camera with me when I need it - transferring to here is a bit time consuming but I will get round to it).

So good that both parents are taking the time to be good parents to the older chicks. I can only imagine how sweet that is to watch. You have a good pair there, Learner.

Charlie still busy preening the twins.
I'm pretty sure both are dipping their beaks in the seed pots so it'll soon be time to relocate to a cage opposite the family home.
If nothing else it will give Fluffy Grey more space in the nest-box....and me another cage to clean.

I can only recommend tinypic.com. It is so easy, even I sussed out how to use it!!! I have a feeling that's the one I use.... often I'm half asleep so it's usually done on auto-pilot late evening. Presently waiting for my mother to finish her bed-time drink so I can toddle home for an hour to see Mrs Learner... if she hasn't moved

I, too, hope Mrs Learner is still in residence. And remembers who you are, what you look like.

Leaving home for the first time ...... my mum used to always cry. I am sure Fluffy Grey is made of sterner stuff.

Leaving home for the first time ...... my mum used to always cry. I am sure Fluffy Grey is made of sterner stuff. Fluffy Grey didn't ruffle a feather! She and Charlie settled to munching on a small handful of chickweed picked freshly for the occasion then it was back to the sit-in as usual. Tom & Gerry nibbled on millet in their new apartmment sat there looking across to Mum & Dad's place opposite. You would think they had been there for weeks.
