Gone? What no pics? I can't think why they might have vanished but I will investigate thos evening when I get back home. I think there was a technical hitch Learner but apparently they are working on getting it sorted. Oh boy am I pleased to hear that... from my point of view not for someone else having to tackle a glitch. My problem is my reading specs are lost somewhere on/in my veg patch! Can only cope with big text at arms length ................................. Cleaning the inside flight today - Perky decided to nip out over my head (as he often does) but today, having settled on top of Tom & Gerry's cage, he went back in speedily and invited his twin Pinky out as well. The pair of them sat on the top of Tom & Gerry's cage for ages hhanging over the top peering in and chatting. Fortunately both went straight home once I'd finished hoovering & replacing the floor covering. Needless to say...no camera with me. Typical.

The pictures are back I know the feeling, not always having the camera handy at the right time! You have taken some great pics so far though... And good luck finding your glasses in the veg patch

You and my OH, Learner!! He is always misplacing his glasses (not my problem), his phone (ditto), and his keys ....... that one is a pain in the proverbial .... They are never actually lost ..... he just doesn't know where to find them. Yeah, proboards fixed the black hole, and all errant posts have been returned to their rightful places.

Thanks for letting me know the problem is fixed. I thought perhaps I had hit the wrong button when saving/viewing or updating my photo housing thing-me-bob.. without the right specs. I'm not bad with everything else just occasional problem with glasses falling from my shirt into the garden when I'm weeding or planting...usually I notice. I've had the most recent pair for a year or more which is a record Fortunately they are off the peg cheap ones (actually the lost ones are my OHs old ones!). I will look more closely at the budgies to check that they haven't nabbed them. In the meantime I'm sporting an expensive £4.99 replacement pair.

Let's not talk about men and keys....or I'll be off again on another rant! On the other hand perhaps some of the men on this forum can explain the phenomenon?

Oh Jean we haven't had a rant for a few days. Personally I think the odd rant now and then helps relieve stress especially if you have a good sense of humour and can manage to laugh at the end of it. I am presently wondering what Fluffy Grey and Charlie think they are up to. One lot of chicks was absolutely lovely but these two seem to be aiming for an entire new flight or aviary Fluffy is presently sitting on eight eggs or she was the last time she moved long enough for me to count them! She is a large bird but even so Charlie seems to think she needs the occasional extra bit of feather to keep them covered and sits along side his missus. Perhaps it's to keep her company. I've hardly seen tail or feather of her for ages.... not out and about anyway. Generally she seems fine and Charlie nips in to give her feathers a good overhaul. I guess it'll just be a matter of waiting and waiting to see. I am being patient...honestly. Once she has this lot sorted the nest-box pop-hole is most definitely going to have to be closed up asp either that or Charlie is going to have to go on a short length of string!!

We're off!Having not seen much of Fluffy Grey for what seems like ages she sat quietly on a perch this morning while Charlie gave her a wash & brush-up (preen). I tried to sneak a peek in the nest-box but was spotted and she vanished through the hole before I could lift the flap. But, she did back off once I had opened the box up and revealed another tiny little pink miracle... a sibling for Tom and Gerry. I should have known as the chatter in the aviary sounded different somehow this morning. I think the news had leaked out before I arrived. So.. here we go again. Exciting!!

At least now they know what they are doing. And they are doing fine Four chicks growing rapidly and looking pretty healthy when Fluffy Grey is willing to get out of the way so I can see what's going on in the nest-box. Both parents are working hard.
