No worries HezzThanks for the info, shall definitely take a look at that as I am very interested in all of this! Alfie Update: He made it through the night! YAY! No more vomit, pile of millet husks evidence AND the good boy has drunk his Guardian Angel He is currently trying out a bit of millet for breakfast and as I have had porridge for MY breakfast I have separated some off to cool to see if he will have some to build him up and also will be soft for him to swallow He looks a mess (not surprising really) but nothing as dire as he was yesterday - keeping all fingers and wings crossed that my little blue boy might actually get through this! POST EDIT: Those links you offered Hezz are brilliant, very informative thank you xx

It all sounds very encouraging Sam Good boy Alfie. Has he had his meds yet? No not yet, am just about to tho I saw how the vet did it and am really quite happy I will be able to administer the meds. Have also thought of a canny way to sort out the wriggler's when giving meds - have a piece of dowelling under the crook of my arm jutting out so when I hold Alfie he has something for his feet to rest on....will report if this is a success or a completely idea LOL!

Such good news samwiseg, onwards and upwards from now on, one step at a time. So good that he hasn't vomited since his meds. Well done Alfie! Hugs to you both.

It's surprising how slippery those feathers are. Well done for getting the meds down. Be prepared to clean the porridge from all over the place.
