Beautiful bird Hezz, not seen one in real life for years........ Have they died out Brian? Or like most wildlife, over run by humans? The kingfisher family is quite extensive, BB. They are all kingfishers, just different types.

There you go. I am pretty sure, without researching it, that the kookaburra is the largest of the kingfishers.

I don't have a garden! I see the occasional Blue Tit, Crow, Magpie, sparrow, Blackbird and pigeon fly past and sometimes land on the balcony though. you could get a few plant plots and plant native flowers or shrubs . Produces a nice display and is good for wildlife too.

I don't get much but ive saw tree creepers and nuthatches, bullfinches too near my area so I'm going to try and attract them. Hopefully pretty soon I'm going to be ordering some hedging and native flowers for the garden. I'm hoping after that I'll start seeing more birds in the garden.

I would love a bird feeder/table but worry I would just be encouraging the butcher birds and Indian mynahs. One is a menace, the other an imported pest.
