I had about 20 Fieldfare land in my garden today, I had never seen one, I had never heard of them until a friend told me, They are similar to a mistle thrush only bigger, also a bull finch with it's big red front and black head, a wood pecker with a red cap on and red under tail, then the usual blue tit's and great tit's, long tail tits, a squirrel and a ruddy mole making a right mess.........

I get Kookaburras on the odd occasion, lots of sulphur crested cockatoos, tiny tiny waxeyes, small bul buls that look like they are wearing little pointed hats, Koels, Currawongs, pigeon doves, wattlebirds, and a few others I can't recall right now.
Now that my big tree has fallen, not so often now. It's very sad.

It is really nice having so many birds flitting through the yard all the time..... Kookaburras willywag tails sunbirds butcherbirds fig birds Torres Strait Island pidgeons collared doves double-eyed fig parrots cockatoos (black and white) rainbow lorikeets rainbow bee-eaters peewees metalic starlings tawny frogmouth friar birds scrub turkeys orange-footed scrub fowl I am sure there are more, just can't think of them......and some I don't know the name of - they are too quick, and then there are the butterflies...... our two most famous being the Cairns birdwing and Ulysses butterflies. The birdwing not sooo much but every day have the pleasure of the Ulysses.

None Oh no. Really? No birds at all? That would be awful for me. I love to hear them singing outside, and watch them up close when I can.

I don't have a garden!
I see the occasional Blue Tit, Crow, Magpie, sparrow, Blackbird and pigeon fly past and sometimes land on the balcony though.

What about in your loacal park, Marianne? There must be birds there. Ducks, every body of water in a park in London has ducks! Doesn't it?
