I am looking forward to Biden rebuilding good relationships with all our allies and not feeling bad about the latest rude tweet! Can he rebuild our Country too while he's at it TPM?

I try not to watch the news, caught the end of a bit where they’re saying this new variant is possibly likely to increase fatalities. It just makes me cry. Also a new hard hitting ad is out later, trying to hammer it home, stay at home. Someone said it’s like turning on a light during blackouts in the war.
I know it won’t just go away and it can’t be blamed on any one thing, people have to shop, go to work, but so many still not adhering and having parties

Perhaps those refusing to adhere to restrictions will be persuaded a little by the increased risk of fatality, although many of them seem to think they're either immune or that the whole thing is a hoax.
Sometimes I think the only thing that will work with these idiots is losing someone close, and that's a desperately sad thing to say.

It is, but true. It just upsets me that they’re helping prolong it for everyone else - obv with government not having helped that much. They need to start putting more of the people sadly affected, into the ad breaks.
Or if they repeatedly do not adhere, they get a mark on their name, not a criminal record, but perhaps the threat of something might make them think, if they thought it could ruin their job/prospects

I know that people who were not adhering to the 6-foot distance when it all first started were getting tickets in the LA area, and any house that had a surge in electrical usage (assuming a party) was having their power shut off by PG&E at some point too.
I think the issue might be that none of it is consistent, so I have been consistently quarantining and only going out for important errands myself xD
The people not adhering are putting others at risk for sure, but they are mostly putting themselves and their closest family and friends at risk most.

And driving us healthcare professionals up the wall. We're fed up of it too but all these irresponsible people are making it last longer.
My ward's understaffed and it's worse because people have to keep self-isolating, and then they keep moving us to adult to help out.

I had a delivery from ASDA today and was so furious with the driver, I had to complain. We live in a block of flats (ground floor) and I was wearing a mask because to open my front door we are still in an enclosed space. He wasn't wearing a mask and didn't socially distance either?! I almost had to shut the door on him! It makes me so angry. He then complained about lockdown not being lifted. I don't care what he thinks about lockdown to be frank, but what I do care about is if he works for a company ensuring they are keeping their customers safe, he's not following the guidelines. Does anyone think I'm overreacting? I am shielding too as I have two autoimmune conditions! I just thought is was so bad

You are totally right to. I have either Sainsbury or Ocado. They stand away from the crates, not always masked, but so far back it’s fine. I take the stuff out the crates. Obviously as you have communal it’s different. But also his attitude. I had Asda way back, was so bad I didn’t use them again - this was pre covid

Thank you ffiscool! I don't use them that often anymore purely because I had a spate of bad orders and just felt that they really went downhill. Plus their customer service was rubbish. But I do use them every now and then for just a couple of bits I can't get in Sainsbury's. I got a response: "We have had to make some temporary changes due to current levels of demand. We will continue to monitor, and will return to normal as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience. To help reduce the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) and to keep you and our colleagues safe: But our driver did not follow the instructions. We highly appreciate that you have brought this matter to our attention as this means that this experience can be used to improve our service. I hope that by doing this we can turn your next experience into a better one. We will make sure we will improve ourselves on the basis of your feedback. We will also implement any changes needed to ensure this level of service isn't repeated in the future. We will do better next time."

I used to use Asda for deliveries too, but have changed to Sainsbury's. Touch wood, they have been brilliant so far! I felt that was a 'bog standard' letter samwiseg, how did you feel about it? I think they inserted a little paragraph that applied to you, all the rest was standard.

I had wanted a snack bag of apple slices 55p, they are sending a bag of apples £2.50. Already have a bag of apples on there. Def don’t need 2 of those. I just looked again at the receipt, I had ordered a fresh berry fruit salad, and that is out of stock.. so guess what they are sending, yes another bag of apples, lol

The only place I am able to get deliveries is Iceland. It's not a store that I use but overall I have been impressed, though they do not stock everything I want. My only mishap was a bag of potatoes that turned out to be a sack, but that was my mistake, not theirs.
