The condition of your orchid doesn't look bad at all tweetiepiesmom apart from that one leaf as you say. Are all the other leaves firm? Reason for soft saggy then yellowing leaves is not enough water. Your orchid leaves do need to be realy firm. Have you got holes in the bottom of that plastic pot? As it will need to drain and not sit in water. Losing a leaf every now and then is no cause for alarm as this sometimes happenes just as long as it is not all the time or more than one! And the others leaves are not soft. Other than that your orchid looks really healthy to me, especially lookling at its roots/air roots they are not mouldy or brown. Should be a green/silver colour. The reason they put orchids in clear pots is so that you can detect any early sites of mould or rot in the roots.

They also advise tweetiepiesmom and samwiseg that orchids like light to get to the roots, that is why they are always in see through pots. Not very attractive I know. I keep just one or two in pretty pots, but have a couple of more attractive glass, see through, pots with the plastic pot inside if you get what I mean.

Thank you samwiseg, yes there is a big hole in the bottom of the plastic pot. I'll start putting it on a regular feeding schedule and maybe it will reward me by blooming again.

It seems that nobody picked up on my sarcasm with regard to the beauty of my plants! I just snip the grass when it's long enough and put it in a clip, or tie it on to the playground/bars with paper string. I bought this from zooplus ages ago, you just water it and it grows. Thanks samwiseg! My orchid is in a clear plastic pot and that is in a decorative pot. Yes, the orchid food I got is a powder that you dissolve in water to use. Attaching a couple of pictures. I fed it this morning by dunking the plastic pot in the liquid food so if it looks wet, that's why. I noticed one of the leaves looks like its dying. Marianne Marlow I love your plants. Buddy and Tweetie Pie eat their grass like its candy! I have been buying them wheat grass from the grocery store. It is grown hydroponically so the roots are attached. That makes it easy to cut off a clump and attach to the cage with a plastic clip. I'd love to grow more grasses for them myself. Do you pluck out a clump with the roots attached and clip that to the cage? If you cut off the blades of grass what do you use to hold them together to clip on the cage? Thanks.

Yes, Marianne Marlow we are a polite group and we know "beauty is in the eye of the beholder". If you say its beautiful, who are we to dispute that? I must admit that as soon as I saw grass, that's all I looked at!

Thank you Marianne Marlow on two counts. I found the paper ribbon to tie my grass bundles on Amazon. I also saw some grass growing kits under the category "cat grass". The one I selected has a mixture of wheat, oats, barley, rye and flax seeds, all organic. I hope my guys like it!

Meet Bruce, my Venus Fly Trap. He's 3 years old & keeps the kitchen insect population down. He doesn't do big spiders though

@cal welcome to Bruce. I have never seen a Venus fly trap in action. Does Bruce close fast on the fly or do they get stuck in there and he closes slowly on them?
