This girl again has some brown discharge.. I can see that she has this discharge when humidity is above 70 percent or so.. and it rains a lot. Not sure, if that would be right. But, she was well after we relocated to our home state where it wasn't humid. There has been rainfall since few days. Her poops are pretty normal. I'll ask the vet about this. The images aren't very clear.. she kept running away from the phone and the phone decides not to focus exact at that moment..

Maybe like Hezz Misty, she just more susceptible to sinus problems in high humidity. Have you tried putting her in a steamy bathroom to see if it helps? I hope it clears up.

Oh goodness mona, they’re both causing you worry at the same time. Hope it clears up or the vet can put your mind at rest.

I really feel that it could be the same issue. I didn't try that.. I will not be able to put her in the bathroom, but I have a mini steam generator (don't know the exact term for it).. I can place it tomorrow beside the cage for a while to see if it makes a difference.. she has been sneezing too a lot today.. the weather is so unpredictable - sometimes hot, sometimes cold.. i really hate that due to the impact on the birdies.. ariella I'm so exhausted really.. already overwhelmed with Breezie's condition and seeing issues with Cookie just blows my mind off.. 😖

mona, I can imagine. I find it all-consuming when any of the family (human or otherwise) is unwell. With animals though, it’s so hard to know what it could be and they can give only subtle clues at times. Keep looking after yourself and eating your hubby’s delicious food. x

I think what you have mona is a vaporizer? Be careful that it doesn't have PTFE or similar coating in it. You can cover her cage leaving the front open and put i near her cage but not with the steam shooting directly at her. Good luck!

Ahh, yes tweetiepiesmom.. Searching it by that name pops it up.. I'm not sure if mine has PTFE coating, so for tomorrow, I'll instead use a regular hot bowl of water for steam - the old way.. keeping in mind your advice.. Thank you for warning me about that. I'll search later, if mine has tgat coating.. ariella Stress causes me to sleep less at times, but I'm good at eating.. I have learnt the hard way never to skip food ever, no matter what happens.. I can't take care of others if I'm not well.. Thank God, my hubby is taking care of a lot of things at home & me, while I'm busy taking care of the birdies 🧡 It would have been so hectic otherwise!.

Exactly mona, you have to be eating and feeling well to look after your precious Cookie and Breezie and also you’ve battled Covid this year. Your hubby sounds like an absolute star! ⭐️

mona, it is such a very small amount, I really don’t think you have a lot to be concerned about, there. A steamy sauna may help Cookie but be sure to keep watch to make sure she doesn’t overheat. Once she has been “steamed” you might find that the stain will wipe off if you use a moistened cotton bud, being careful to keep away from her nostrils.

She sneezed a lot more through out the night and made a lil sound throughout the night (haven't heard that before) and her voice sounds a lil bit different. It doesn't feel right.. Does it happen during sinus?
Observing her for today to decide whether to talk with the vet, apart from trying everything else. Her poops look normal though and there's no tail bobbing either.

It sounds like she's breathing ok. I only seldom have heard Tweetie Pie sneeze but Buddy does sneeze 3-4 times every night after he's climbed into his swing for the night. I've changed hs swing a couple of times and washed it so I don't think it is dusty.

She was put on an antibiotic by the vet for three days.. 🤦♀️ She is fine now..
After a few days, she was sneezing again a lot without any discharge at certain times of the day (around 10 to 15 sneezes in a row & that was scary).. she had been shredding areca stalk & it seemed to be very fine/powdery. So, I removed all areca stalks from the cage and she went fine.. 🤦♀️🤦♀️ I'll use those areca stalks for my creepers in the balcony now.. 😅 Added another soft branch that she has used earlier, to shred in that corner of the cage, since she was angry at me.. How could I dare to remove her new favorite shredding toy?! Sometimes, the root cause are so simple.. these lil creatures get into trouble with the tiniest of things!
