If he is using the foot at all, that would indicate there isn’t a break anywhere, but it may be a sprain which can take as long as it does with us to resolve. My guess is that he has gotten his foot, or a toe, caught somehow and has tried to free himself quickly. Hopefully that is all it is and not something affecting the nerve running down his leg.

I took some closeup of his feet, after I saw a red vein inside his toe finger /biggest finger.. the one on the left side in the image.. It wasn't visible till now.. I'm really anxious about him now.. Not sure if it's normal.. i don't think I have seen anything like that earlier

To my eye, he looks like he's perching normally and the feet look healthy. You may see the red vein now because you are examining him more carefully then you've done before so you now notice these things more. Try not to worry but just watch him. Recently I took Tweetie Pie to the vet and he got a shot. The vet said she accidently nicked a nerve and he had a "sore" foot. He was standing with his left foot tucked up and used it very gingerly to move around. It healed up slowly and a week later was all good with no long term effects. When I first saw it I was really worried but it turned out fine.

I think he has improved a little bit.. but he still has issues in climbing the cage bars and using his feet to rest on the perch or food bowls or cage base.. He is flying to land everywhere. I did remove a couple other cage accessories & higher perches to prevent him from falling down. He did fall down one day, when he was frustrated and flying irritated all inside the cage. I'm giving him ACV and cayenne pepper powder. Arranged all his food bowls at perch level.. Hoping that he recovers and can be reunited with Cookie
Me and my hubby are doing okay.. Still waiting on testing negative and for infection to not spread further in the lungs.. thank you for asking 🧡

I'm glad to hear you are doing ok and that Breeze is coping. Fingers crossed he continues to improve. It must be very frustrating for him!

Good that Breezie is showing improvement. A doctor once told me that nerves are slowest to heal so maybe he did tweak a nerve.
I'm hoping that the virus does not progress any further in you or your hubby. Continue taking care of yourselves!

We both tested negative for covid. The lung damage will take a few months to recover..so the precautions will be there.
Cookie Breezie are getting frustrated since 3 days.. so I'm planning to set up their large cage (which has been pending since relocation due to one or other reason).. and let both of them be in that cage. If cookie continues bullying Breezie, then I will separate Breezie. They have been screaming a lot....

I'm hoping any lung damage will heal quickly. Yes, bonded budgies don't like being separated and will let you know it! Hopefully Cookie was going through a hormonal thing and will behave herself went put back with Breezie!

Such good news you’ve both tested negative mona. Wishing you both all the best as your lungs recover. My hubby had pneumonia two years ago and was told it’s at least 6 months internally and up to 3 months to not feel so tired and breathless. His biggest problem was talking, especially holding conversations over the phone, where he’d just run out of breath. Thankfully it hasn’t reoccurred and despite being a key worker, he hasn’t been infected with Covid. I hope you can both rest up as much as you are able. Things look very worrying in India. Really hope that Cookie and Breezie are glad when they’re reunited and everything will settle down.
