I think everything was already covered. I soak seeds, mungs beans, chickpeas etc for 4 hours during summer and overnight during winters. During summer, if it's soaked for more than 4 hours, there's a white layer on the water and I'm skeptical about it. After soaking time is up, I drain all the water, rinse everything well by putting everything through a sieve under running tap water -> rinse with ACV and put it in any utensils with holes in it to sprout. We don't place it in cloth or cover with cloth. We keep it to sprout for another 12 hours to 24 hours. Depending on the season, most of the seeds sprout within 24 to 36 hours. I keep rinsing it with running water and ACV every 12 hours and store the sprouts in fridge for 2 to 3 days. I haven't used sprout jars ever.. I saw my mom using these kind of utensils and I use similar too.. sometimes, mine even sprout well in a regular bowl too..

Put the seed in the sprouter, put the lid on. Run the water through the lid a few times to rinse the seeds. Then fill the jar 3/4 full and let the seeds steep.

jellybean I am not good at following instructions or reading and understanding large amounts of text! I tried to follow what the booklet said that came with the sprouting jar and probably got it all wrong.

OK Here goes....... 1. Sterilise your sprouting jar and lid in boiling water. 2. Rinse in cold water, and dry the outside of the jar. 3. Put your seeds in, just 1 tablespoon for starters. 4. Put the lid on the jar and fill with cold water. 5. Swirl the seeds around and rinse 2 or 3 times in a spinning motion, KEEPING THE LID ON 6. Fill with cold water to cover the seeds and allow to steep for approx 8 hours After 8 hours rinse the seeds 3 or 4 times, doing the spinning motion and removing as much excess water as possible, then leave the jar on it's side on a piece of kitchen paper. Repeat all of the above morning, afternoon, and night. Good luck

As soon as I try and read something I get this little miss shout "MUMMY!" I find it too hard to concentrate.

Awww, how adorable. An addition to jellybean instructions - since your sprouter came with the stand to keep the jar at an angle, use it to hold the jar. You can put the jar on a countertop but not in sunlight. If the seeds you got are good, they should germinate. 100% of the seeds won't germinate but about 80% should. Good luck!
