Sounds like Eve and the budgies are of the same mind - it doesn't matter how much effort mum puts into making/growing something, just turn the nose (or nares) up and walk (fly) away!
Sorry the budgies didn't take to the sprouts. Tweetie Pie and Buddy say to your budgies, "you're missing something good!"

I like that idea, jellybean. I was going to suggest starting with a small variety of sprouts, and not sure mung beans are a good start, since I don’t like them much and Loki flings them out of his mull. Alphalpha are nice and sweet as are snow peas sprouts, although they do get a bit tough if they get too long. That might not be a problem to a budgie, though.

I agree Hezz, my two seem to like the young tender shoots, I normally use the tray shown in the picture, but this time I'm going to use less peas and put them in a plant pot instead, so less waste.

Mung beans are probably not the easiest of sprouts to begin with. Marianne Marlow, when you are feeling more up to it, perhaps just soaking their seeds mix for four hours, draining them well and even letting them dry out a touch, and then serving those will get the buds used to eating seed that has a different texture. Then maybe try serving them just a day-long sprouted for a while. Then two days sprouted, etc. If it’s mostly millet they should catch on to that much faster than mung beans sprouts - an entirely new and not the most palatable food even for buds who generally like sprouts! I’m sorry Eve is giving you so much trouble too! I was never picky about trying new things as a child, but my two younger cousins sure were!! It must be stressful.
