No worries. Mine also ignored them. I gave them sprouts first in the morning while they were still in the cage and after 3-4 days they started eating them. Now I give it to them when I let them out. Buddy now realizes that when I go into the kitchen, good food might be coming to them so he follows. He recognizes the container with the sprouts. After I put them in the dish, he runs down my arm, jumps on the dish and eats away.

Put these out today, ignored again. Giving up, don't have the time or patience to devote to this anymore

Sorry, I know I sound like a whinger, but what with Eve not eating anything I put in front of her, also being a complete pain having tantrums and drawing on everything. Also my health is a bit rubbish and I am exhausted, just so tired. So sorry they didn't dig right in. Great that you gave it a good try for them Marianne Marlow

That’s pants, I’d say don’t worry about the buds and then one less thing to think about
Is there something Eve would happily eat, other than chocolate or the like? Maybe whatever, you could hide veg in if she doesn’t like veg. Or a soup?

Is Eve just going through the "terrible two's" - do you have that expression in the UK?

Feed Eve the mung beans, mash them up into whatever she likes most. Naughty girl, giving her mother a hard time. Best thing is she will grow out of both the tantrums and the drawing on everything. doesn’t help you now, though.

So sorry you're having a hard time Marianne.
It's soul destroying growing/sprouting stuff for the buds and they ignore it.
It must be the same for you with Eve.
I can't imagine you get a lot of time to yourself with a 2 year old and all the birdies.
Hope your health improves, and you feel better soon 💐

I'm afraid that she'll eat a little of something one day and then completely refuse to touch it the next day. The thought of giving her soup raises my blood pressure a bit, you should see what she looks like after eating porridge! That’s pants, I’d say don’t worry about the buds and then one less thing to think about Is there something Eve would happily eat, other than chocolate or the like? Maybe whatever, you could hide veg in if she doesn’t like veg. Or a soup? Yes, we have that expression here. I suppose you could call it that. She has quite a vocabulary (we read to her a lot and have taiught her to count to ten and she knows a lot of colours) and mostly uses it to say she doesn't want this or that or she wants something that she knows she cannot have. With intelligence seems to come naughtiness!! Is Eve just going through the "terrible two's" - do you have that expression in the UK? If this phase could be over right now that would be good. Feed Eve the mung beans, mash them up into whatever she likes most. Naughty girl, giving her mother a hard time. Best thing is she will grow out of both the tantrums and the drawing on everything. doesn’t help you now, though. It's the having to fight against her all the time that's the big issue, she's so strong willed and will say that she doesn't want something and stick to that, even if she likes it. The only thing besides cake, chocolate and crisps that I can guarantee she will eat is steamed carrot because she's really into Bing and he eats carrots (he's a bunny on tv).

I can't remember refusing anything when I was young, although I can't remember back to when I was 2.
We were made dinner, we ate it, end of.
Are you raising her to be Vegetarian Marianne?

No, she's being given a variety of foods, her dad is not a veggie. I will let her choose her own path, if she wants to eat meat, be veggie or vegan, after that, it's up to her. I remember refusing meat at a very early age, I hated the texture, even before I knew it was an animal. I was happy to go hungry rather than eat it. I can't remember refusing anything when I was young, although I can't remember back to when I was 2. We were made dinner, we ate it, end of. Are you raising her to be Vegetarian Marianne?

Apologies for the thread going off topic. This was what Eve ate (or rather didn't eat) of her breakfast..

Since my two haven't taken to the sprouting mix either Marianne, I've ordered snow peas to grow which I know they love, if you don't want the hassle of growing them yourself, you can buy them already grown (from Aconbury Sprouts) just ready to cut:-
