I have missed out on so much.. I just read the thread.. Marianne Marlow, my heart will burst with the kindness I see on this forum and beyond. I used to think that there are no or very few kind people left in the world. But this forum and few other birdie people make me realize that I have been so wrong always. I'm glad that I was wrong.. thank you for letting me see the world with a different perspective.. and all of that makes my heart so full of happiness... There's no doubt about Lyra's adventures in her forever home 🧡🤗💕

monaThank you, what a lovely thing to say. We all consider you an extremely kind person too. I am very happy that you took in those three little ones and comforted little Greenie so much in his hour of need. You give your budgies so much happiness and enrichment and also the food is fit for a budgie king

Oh dear, Iris. She’s a little minx at times isn’t she and yet when Penny first joined your family she would play mirrors with her. I’m glad Penny was okay but what a pain. It’s lovely when you post photos of the ladies enjoying the attentions of the rest of the flock, Billy especially, so I can see why you don’t want to restrict that. Hope Iris starts to behave herself soon.

I don’t have anything to help from side attacks, unfortunately. . Restricting Iris’ ability to be a nuisance is the best I can come up with - have an Iris-Out/Penny covered time, then Iris-In/Penny social time. It certainly would not be ideal.

They are good, than you for asking jellybean. Thankfully no more attacks from Iris on Penny's feet. Took this photo today. They mostly get on well, with the occasional squiggle fest. But they do head bob to eachother. No feeding or preening as of yet. Marianne, how are Penny and Lyra?

Thanks for the update Marianne. Glad there's no more biting, and they seem to be getting along.

Bless her, they must feel so uncomfortable. I really hope they’re worth it and she’ll feather up nicely. Fingers crossed.

Got my fingers crossed also. Maybe with the good foods you've been giving her, you'll see an improvement. Even a few feathers will be great!
