Well, at least you have measures to give him a some relief even for a short time in the future. It is really good he has had a night's peace. I sincerely hope he has more than one.

Blueboy is lively today. He's obviously had some sleep at night for the first time in months too. He was still last night and didn't make a single distressed peep or gagging noise. He's even standing more upright today and has an appetite like a horse This is good news! It surely must prove that the vet gave the right diagnosis. I know it was not what you wanted to hear, but at least now you can be confident you are doing the very best for him.

Better to know and be in the position to do something about it, wherever possible.

Here he is today, scoffing Basil. I'm doing some egg for them all too and will put seaweed on it.

Good to see Blueboy enjoying his basil. A good appetite is always important.

Blueboys appetite is huge at the moment, poor little fella. Since he got back from the vet he has seemed so much more lively too.
He's a little bit tired but then he's not had a proper nights sleep in so long I am not surprised.

Blueboy just sang for a few seconds. I came over and whistled at him and I heard a few little tweets! ;D
First time since about October!

You did wish for that, and now he has answered. That must give you the warm fuzzies. I really hope he continues to improve.

That must have been wonderful to hear him sing again, even a short song! That has to be just about the saddest thing about a sick budgie, the awful silence. I hope he's still feeling well enough to be chirpy today!

Unfortunately it was only for a few seconds. He has taken a down-turn again now Last night he was back to his neck stretching and even threw up some seed. I had to put him in the travel cage and take him into the bedroom with me. Then this morning he had another of his not being able to breathe things. I have to blow on him lightly, talk to him softly to get him to calm down. It feels like we're back to square one/ Only difference is he's not holding his head slightly back as he was before.
