I'm sorry mona. It must be very difficult for you. He had care and love and a safe environment for his final days which is very precious.

So sad to read this mona. But he passed in peace, with love, out of the elements, knowing clean water and uncontaminated food were on offer for him and so in better comfort. It’s like he waited for you so he felt safe to let go. Thank you for taking them in. I hope the other two recover and thrive in your loving care. Fly high sweet green one. x

I'm so sorry about your little green friend, but at least you helped him to pass away peacefully, knowing he was loved.

So sorry the little green budgie didn't make it.
I called my avian vet and told her you think the two little ones have heavy metal toxicity but that you have limited resources available and no knowledgeable or avian vet nearby. She said the most common symptoms are diarrhea and anemia (the budgie will appear lethargic). She said taking them away from the source of lead or other heavy metal is critical which you've already done. She said to make sure they are hydrated. If they are not drinking water, feed them greens with lots of water in them. She suggested iceberg lettuce. She also said to make sure they are pooping and the greens will help with that. She suggested cilantro, wild blueberries, grass, high fiber greens but make sure they stay hydrated. She also said that if they are not vomiting, their exposure my be only mild to moderate and hopefully the heavy metals will be pooped out.
Good luck to the little ones.

I’m so sorry that the little green bird didn’t survive, mona. Fingers crossed that the other two are more robust. Rescuing birds is not for the faint-hearted as too often it is too late by the time they are given up. I’m glad your mum is there to help you through.

Thank you so much for calling up your vet and getting this information for me.. They are actually vomiting (maybe) since yesterday evening.. It's all seeds.. it looks like they empty their crop after a few hours.. we can see them throw up the entire seeds out.. but they don't have bad feathers below the beak.. but there was a smell.. so we feel it was vomit.. They aren't open to any new food. We tried everything. The only thing they eat is grasses, coriander and foxtail millets. For now, we are giving them whatever they are ready to eat.. they are eating, but less..the poop qty is also less.. they did chirp to and fro with our flock from a separate room in evening.. But I know they can go downhill very fast.. They aren't afraid of me now..but they are a bit traumatized after greenie's passing away.. So, I'm not sure if it's stress or fear or illness. We really can't do anything else. Just letting them be, motivating them to eat and giving them whatever they want.. they start eating when we talk to them.. I have a video of what they are doing right now. It looks like a violent regurgitation to me and then all seeds are out.. I will upload in a while. They aren't drinking water. Snowy isn't drinking at all, at least not in front of us and she isn't open to greens, just millets.. we don't want to force feed them, since I regretted that with breezie. We did cancel all our outings for next 2 3 days, just in case, they need us

It’s so hard when they’re not ok. I hope that they get it out their systems and improve.

mona you are giving them every possible chance of getting better. I'm keeping everything crossed.

mona I also have everything crossed hoping they'll recover. May I suggest that you keep trying to get them to eat the cooked lentils, mung beans, wheat and rice (whatever cooked mash you feed the others). It contains more water than the seeds. Also try to get them to eat sprouts which also contain more water. Tweetie Pie with his AGY will vomit seeds but does not vomit the other foods. He can get a bit of millet seeds but if he gets too much, he'll vomit those. Feeding them those will give them good nutrition and water.

Even just soaking the seeds should help if they won’t eat other things, because they will get some water from what the seeds have soaked up. Still, providing other things just in case they decide to try them is a good idea, even if they don’t eat it right now. And drop-feeding them water from the end of a coriander stem as you like to do!

Thank you for all the suggestions and help!! Read everything and tried all of it, except lettuce that we didn't have. We have got it today and will try tomorrow. They didn't eat anything till 4pm. Bluey (randomly named her for now) kept bobbing her tail and kept having some body shivers.. But they both ate around 4 - the grasses, crushed tiny foxtail millets and plain water (atleast 3 sips of it in front of us). They aren't open to anything else - cooked soft food, soaked seeds, green veggies, liquid diet made of cooked mung beans & millets and even fruits. We wil try raw millet blend for liquid if need arises for it again - if that doesn't change the taste, as per Morgan's suggestion. Though we never normally offer fruits to any of our birdies, we tried offering everything we had. It seems they want to eat only from the cage base or flat dishes. They kept regurgitating when eating from the regular food bowl.. we had scattered some broken seeds on the cage base along with the grasses and a few more flat tiny dishes with soaked seeds etc. Bluey had been eating coriander stem earlier. We thought they won't eat and have given up, but gladly they did. Snowy started eating grasses too along with Bluey. She follows bluey for food, otherwise she doesn't eat too. There were all white poops for a few hours after paper change in evening.. but, at 2am, I can see around 8 poops that have green in it - some okay and some wet poop types. They aren't afraid of the cage and can comfortably move around at night to sleep. They don't seem puffed up all the time too. They really seem very young to me. I'm not sure, but bluey keeps trying to tuck her head somewhere.. she tries to tuck her head under other birdie's head or tummy.. I guess that's what a baby does? Bluey's vent is really very dirty, but we didn't touch them to clean, since they weren't eating and we didn't want to scare them that they spend all their spare energy running away from us.. We had decided not to force feed them and let them be, with calming music and no noise in the room. They are in the drawing room right now. We wanted to shift them in our room, but we aren't making even a single change right now.. they have hardly started being comfortable with the cage. We stay inside our rooms when they are sleeping and only visit the drawing room when we want to check on them or sit beside them. We had lost hope when they didn't eat anything, but it's encouraging that they did.. They chirp back too sometimes. Keeping fingers crossed.

Sounds promising! If you're worried about the dirty vent, you could offer a shallow water dish on the bottom of the cage to see if Bluey will take a little bath.
I've seen quite a few pictures of baby budgies huddled up together so I think if Bluey is trying to huddle up its normal.
Hope they continue getting better.
