Poor Perry. Sorry he's going through it again and you with him. I hope things improve tonight and you both get your rest.

Oh, this is not the news I was hoping for. Come on Perry, please improve and have a restful night.

Feeling useless and very sad for you both. Did the vet reschedule Perry’s appointment?

We made it! (I say that every morning given his multiple problems!) No further seizures. All 'normal'. Zombie P having his morning flirt with M. When I picked him up at one point last night, his 'wound' felt crusty. There is a section of it under the feathers too. Hezz - the vet is due Tuesday. Don't think she can do anything about anything, though may have some insight as to why he's starting to have seizures whilst still on the medication.

There is that concern. If it is a tolerance thing, it has happened rather quickly, I would have thought. But you are probably right in that there is little she, or anyone else, can do that hasn’t already been done.

I almost didn't give him his evening meds but thought best wait until Tuesday & see what the vet says. I gave him a smaller amount. He had a seizure at 00:40. It's 02:30 now & he seems stable, so I'll go to bed...

Vet has seen Perry.
Re: Gory Thing. As expected, do nothing - just let it do its thing naturally. There is a bit about to break off & she tried to wiggle it off but it wasn't quite ready. May fall in a day or two. Interestingly, she said bird's pus is solid. The lack of noticeable pus has confused me but she said she could see some there. The abscess is the lump under the gory bit. Essentially, the gory bit is the body healing & containing the abscess (though don't quote me on that!) His belly lump/abscess is bigger but she's expecting that to reduce once it falls off (as it did 2 yrs ago).
In relation to the lump growing & potentially falling off, she floated the idea that the changing size of the lump may be the cause of the increased seizures (pressing on nerves etc.) So, we've decided to wait until the gory bit falls off & lump reduces, to see if seizures also reduce too. Only other alternative is to increase anti-seizure medication.
Weight stable.
Beak & toenails lightly trimmed.

Fingers crossed that the seizures do decrease once that drops off. Is it something that oozes out from the skin? I've always been trying to figure out if it's an open wound from the photos. Too bad you can't send him to theatre for a good old incision and drainage of abscess!

Poor little guy - that looks uncomfortable! Good that he's not constantly picking at it.
