A few pictures from when I was cleaning the bird room just now... Topaz on a cage door: Willow likes this swing. It came with a table-top play stand, but I thought it would swing too close to a nearby poll piece on the stand. So I moved it to the Budgie cage. (We nailed boards onto the wall because of spots where Budgies and Cockatiels were nibbling at the paint. Then they stopped for a while.) Kona was strutting around: Pepper watching me: Sprite eating a walnut at the play stand, after the Budgies were back inside their cage:

Lovely, lovely birbs Quincy's latest trick is to pester me when I have a glass of water in hand so that I will let her drink from it. Her cuteness levels are dangerously high now.

Herman & Eeyore just flew into each other as they tried to land together on the Herb Jungle. They fell into the Jungle in a tangle and then popped up together.
There are still moments to be treasured, in between breaking up fights between lunatic hens.

Yuki and Haru are settling down for the evening in their half of the flight cage. Gwen's brooding her eggies and Indie's perched outside the entrance of the nest. Chito's scurrying back and forth at the front of the cage, trying to get to the budgie noises on the iPad.

Well... Gwen laid 1 egg and didn't lay another for 6 days, and we mistakenly thought we were safe, and considered that 1 would be doable. Then she laid a 3 more and I stopped them from developing, if they were actually fertile. But she's since laid 2 more and I might have a potential home for them so I'm just gonna let her crack on with it now. For good or bad. Unfortunately it means quite a long span between eggs 1 and 5 if they hatch, so that could cause some trouble. As for Chito, I haven't mentioned him, but he's been here for 2 weeks. I saw him in the local pet store on the 4th of October, thought he was pretty, but walked away. He was still there on the 19th, and I couldn't stop thinking about him so on the 26th Ant said we could get him if he was still there. He's super nervous though and driving me bonkers. I need a better quarantine cage. And his arrival is what led to the initial disruption of Gwen's 2nd-4th eggs, as we can't especially afford to house too many. Though I have now got a small pestle and mortar so as long as I can get hold of lactulose I can just buy the Β£7.50 tablets from the vet and mix Yuki's meds myself, which will save me about Β£25 a month. And he won't need as regular bloods now.

I have to send them to my computer to upload them because my phone won't these days. Not that the pictures do his colour justice at all. I hope one day to get a photo of him in some sunshine. That's true. I'm off work for a bit too so I should be here for the hatching of the younger ones if the eggs are fertile.

Lmao, he's been in my signature since the day we got him. I just figured I'd finally drop the news officially.

Violet, a Budgie, went into the Cockatiel cage to eat their food. Kona, a Cockatiel, went into the Budgie cage to eat their food.

Quincy is drying off. We had a shower. She loves showers! There were six budgies in my bedroom when I came out of the bathroom. Squeak is sulking since I put impenetrable layers of stones on top of the soil in all the plant pots. I know she isn't giving me accusing looks but if she were ... they'd look just like the looks she's giving me.

This evening Babybird was rolling around on the floor like a ball. She had found a caramel wrapper on the floor that made her go all crazy. It looked so funny that we had tears in our eyes from laughing XD

We haven't heard from matt82 in a little while. Earlier I thought of Hedwig and how he flips over playing cards.
