Hello all. I thought I would give an update on Thomas. In short, there has been no change. Since I last reported ( Previous thread "Resistant to antibiotics") he has had two more lots of medication, neither making any difference. In fact, his breathing has gradually become more laboured. At times, he looks very lethargic but then briefly livens up again. He is still eating & still enjoys his vegetables. His poops are still a dreadful colour. The vet is now focusing on his vent area that is still swollen. On Friday morning, we are booked in for an x-ray to try & determine what the swelling is. To say I am worried is an understatement.

What a worry, sweet pea.
When the vet does the X-Ray, make sure you have a look at them with the vet so he/she can show you what is going on internally.
X-Rays can show up a lot of problems, in combination with the poop and crop analyses.

It's such a horrible feeling waiting & sort of hoping something is found so we can deal with it, yet at the same time, hoping nothing is found!

Good luck. Maybe also write things down as easy to not remember/take it in, when upset. Or can anyone go with you?

Will be thinking of you and Thomas on Friday, Sweetpea. Fingers crossed for you - I know what you mean; looking for an answer but not wanting bad news. I am sure he will be fine with the x-ray itself.

It SHOWS you what is going on, rather than just hearing a whole pile of anatomical and medical descriptions without seeing what and where they are.

Only my best thoughts and prayers for you and Thomas. I hope the vet finds the solution in the x-ray. Such a stressful time.
