Gosh sweetpea, you are having a terrible time of it at the minute. It's awful watching them have a seizure. I hope all goes well tomorrow at the vet.

My thoughts are with you SP - hope the Jab does its work quickly. Is there any way of getting vitamin B naturally into their diet? Do they go for anything you offer them or have to be... persuaded? Was thinking if they would like a bit of Vegemite like Hezz's birds do then that may help? POST EDIT: Just found this excerpt online from the Birds Online site: Lack of vitamin BIn case a bird suffers from a lack of vitamin B, paralysed legs are the after-effect. Like convulsions they suddenly appear and the affected bird is extremely scared. Most budgies are unable to perch on a twig because of a paralysis. They fall onto the ground and hobble around. Avian vets provide liquids that can be added to the drinking water, these food supplements contain a vitamin B complex. In addition to this it's often helpful to inject the birds with vitamin B. Please do never try to cure a bird who is lacking vitamin B on your own; you should always talk to an avian vet for choosing the right therapy.

Hello all. Many thanks for your well wishes. Bezukhov (& I) had a stressful morning. Firstly, it was "medication morning" so he had to be grabbed for me to attempt to give him his meds. Instead of popping him back in the manor, he went into the freshly prepared travel cage, ready for the trip to the vet. She said he looked well, considering; he has pins on his head, not to mention the syrupy medicine gradually starting to build up around his beak. She gave him the once over. He weighs either 51 or 53g... I can't remember what she said... but she did say he was a little overweight but thought that was an advantage during moulting time. His injection was multivitamin (as for Cagney but a higher dose) that included the Vitamin B. She specifically wanted to make sure his vitamin B complexes were topped up as they are the most likely to be low during a moult, and vitamin B is heavily involved with nerve function. Anyway, on our return he recovered quite quickly from the ordeal but has spent a large part of today snoozing, along with Cagney. Phineas must have a duracell battery as he does not appear to stop. He had two "jiggy's" before midday & even that wasn't enough... What a dysfunctional household I have.

Bezukhov isn't too bad about eating various vegetables but he is a very, very, very dainty nibbler, unlike the others. I will ask the vet if vit B in the water will be an option.

Still keeping everything crossed for you and your little flock, sweetpea, even the ever-randy P. I was up a bit earlier today so Phineas has racked up two "jiggies" before 10am.
