That is brilliant, both the name and the sign.

I've had a PM from another forum member who may need my services. I will offer the space so long as there is some. Who can resist these little darlings?

Beau hand delivered safe and sound today - to the wonderful Budgies Retreat. Thanks Darren! We loved that he was already chatting to his new feathered friends as we left We'd love updates of how he's settling in so we will keep popping back on here.

Hi kiwikate. Beau is doing well, he's eating fresh egg food and soaked seed at the mo. I put a bowl of the food that you were feeding him and a tray of food that I normally give, so he can still have the same as what he's used to. He's partly destroyed a whole millet spray also! I will of course keep you updated, or you can message me to prompt me in case you haven't heard anything for a while He's chirping away like a good'un, and watching what all of the others are doing. He gets excited when they come inside from the aviary, runs around chirping even louder, bless him. Thank you for dropping him off, it is greatly appreciated, and I hope that you managed to find somewhere for lunch. Many thanks Darren

Thanks so much Darren (budgies retreat). We knew as soon as Beau heard the other birds he would get excited! We are so happy you have taken him and we are lucky to have found the best possible home for him.
It would be great to hear how he gets on with the flock once he has settled in. Thanks again for helping out.

Just a little update. All 3 birds are doing super well, and I am happy to say that Bodie and Doyle have joined the flock in the main flight. Beau is still in his quarantine cage, but he is happy and full of energy. Due to not being able to "fully" quarantine as I cannot have any birds in the house due to the father-in-law's lung condition, I have kept a close eye on the new joiners, and I have not seen any deterioration in their health, so the first two are now in with the rest. I will keep Beau where he is for now, and assess him over the following week. Bodie and Doyle go wherever the other goes, they may as well be Siamese twins, they stick so close to one and other. It's so funny to watch them. Whatever one does the other does immediately after.
