Just a thought but do budgies suffer from epilepsy? I do, and before I was on medication for the condition I would do uncontrollable movements. Not fall down fits and things, just move my arms and stare into space. I don't want to worry you Ffiscool, but it was just a thought. Yes they do. Birds, I mean, and budgies in particular. Your sounds more like what they used to call a petit mal. Now they are called absence seizures.

Well, Bailey was the worst he has been, last night... he flew back and forth for hours. wobblying and just being agitated. i was sorting his calcium but my stepmother is in hospital with what they thought a minor stroke, but it seems fluid on the brain.. so that took over the whole night and until 3am when they did her CT scan.
Anyway, so i only added the drops today to his water. I had an old syringe from his medication but decided it was a bit gunky no matter how i had cleaned it.. and the calcivet has a dropper top... i rang birdcare company this morning and they asked if i used tap or bottled water - it is 10-20mls per litre, so she said use the 20mls ratio and then as I have a 50ml water bottle for him, it equates to 1ml which is 30 drops.. that is an awful lot of liquid.. so i have done half - on the 10ml ratio... today he has been totally normal happy, playing...
