Excellent news. Good idea, if you hear again before she’s on, please pass on my best wishes.

I used to like MasterChef. But I stopped watching it when I saw too many vulgar meals with animals in them in the celebrity version. Such as a bird within a bird within a bird. If they did a veggie version I'd watch it. I still love Masterchef, Bake-off and the professionals versions but I know what you mean Marianne Marlow. I'm surprised there are any ducks or scallops left in the world! Sue Pollarrd was funny clt80, so similar to her Peggy character

Very happy for Cheryl that the operation was a success! Now hoping the chemo won't be too harsh or stressful or long. Good luck and wishing you the best!

So relieved the surgery was a success! Preventative chemotherapy sounds a good plan to reassure you there’s no metastasis Cheryl (though I appreciate it’s a daunting thing to go through). Hopefully you won’t need many cycles and won’t have too many side effects. We’re here to offer support and to chat budgies and anything else whenever you need. I think having some quiet time to destress, relax and prepare is good but when you do read this, well done for all you’ve been through so far clt80. Thanks for the update, Marianne.

Thanks for the update Marianne. I'm glad the operation was successful. Hope the chemo isn't too tiring.

So glad you’ve felt positive, clt80. One day at a time, I hope you can find something positive in every day. Sometimes the little things are the best things.

Yes sometimes it is the little things that help, I've been to the path lab this morning for bloods and had a phone call, my appointment with an oncologist is tomorrow so thats good. Quicker chemo starts the better, get it out the way. Been faffing around today cleaning bits around the house. Managed to strip the bed, wash it, hang it on line and put new bedding on! Feel my energy is slowly increasing. Also had phone call with work, my line manager is causing me stress and I am not having it, so gone above to her manager and she was lovely. So thats something less I have to deal with.

please be careful doing things like the bed.. you had an op and you don't want to do yourself any damage.. glad you feel a bit more energetic though
that is poor.. re your line manager. do you get paid when sick or do you have to claim it?
yes, the quicker you have it, the quicker you can get back to normality
