I know itโs not funny but I found this description of very naughty behaviour by Mr Rito Dorito absolutely hilarious ๐, sorry ๐คญ
It reminded me so much of the goings on in my old flock, where my right hand man Mr PC Bertie and I often broke up incident just like these, a prison/time out cell was often in use ๐

You could write a book or blog on them. I laughed too because of how you wrote it

No apologies necessary for laughing! I hoped it would be entertaining. It made me laugh when I was writing it, and it did me good after the chaos they'd caused yesterday morning with non stop flying about and screeching . PC Bertie was amazing. I could really have used his help. After an hour of screeching and flying about this morning the boys settled down. All three have been foraging together. The main pairing is still Dexter and Rito but whenever any two of them have been alone together they've had friendly chats. They're still being silly and chasing each other when the three of them are on top of the cage, but they happily sit in the cage together preening and having a rest, and there is no chasing near the food pots. Having a little scare is good for flock unity, and they sit close together up on the curtains until the danger has passed. Today's scare was caused by me taking the lid off a plastic storage box. Then they got spooked again when I did the hoovering. Yesterday they were spooked by a crinkly plastic bag. I think the continued presence of the 'budgie prison' in the lounge is helping. And the spray bottle is prominently placed on the coffee table too.

I do have a high vis vest somewhere skysmum. Maybe that's what I should scare them with tomorrow. They've been pretty good this afternoon and evening. I did see Rito step on Dexter up on the curtains but Dexter didn't complain and continued to play with Rito as if nothing had happened. They've spent more time apart too which has got to be good, and both of them have spent time with Aster. Maybe they've realised that they will get to play with each other tomorrow and they don't have to get all the playing done today

I'm almost certainly tempting fate by writing this as every time I try to update to say they are getting on ok Rito gets a bit carried away, but I will risk it There have been a couple of incidents where Rito has got a bit over excited but on the whole they have settled down. Yesterday I came in the room and found Dexter on his back with Rito's foot on him which alarmed me greatly but they both jumped up and started playing. Dexter wasn't distressed and just carried on chasing about with Rito in a friendly way as if nothing had happened. They didn't go home for another half hour so I had no chance to take Rito back into custody. I've not seen any bad behaviour today, and they've all been playing with each other, generally as different pairs but occasionally all together. They are currently sitting separately and all singing. Rito is on one curtain, Aster is on the other, and Dexter is on a speaker. This morning was the quietest yet, it was still a bit crazy but for less than an hour today, and with less screeching.

It's really hard to be hands-off sometimes. I tend to intervene but only when I'm convinced that someone needs rescuing. I do try to force myself to watch & wait sometimes. Nerve-wracking as that is.

Well, it didn't last. Rito is separated again. Yesterday I heard loud squealing and came rushing from the kitchen to see what was happening. David was in the lounge with them and he told me that Rito had jumped on to Aster when the three of them were on top of the cage, but he jumped off when David told him off.
Later on when we were watching Dr Who the three of them were on top of the curtain. Then Dexter started squealing and we couldn't see him or Rito, because they were lower than the top of the curtain, which was alarming. I shook the curtains and Rito appeared and then Dexter popped up too looking very ruffled. Rito flew off and Dexter went with him, but then Dexter flew down to the top of the cage and was really preening his chest and tummy which made me worry that he was hurt but he seemed ok. When Rito went into the cage a bit later on I caught him up and put him in the small cage, and we had a long chat about his behaviour. Aster came over for a visit and a while later Dexter came over to see him to.
They spent the night in the lounge but once I get them up I'll bring Rito into my teaching room and spend some time with him there. I expect he will enjoy having a new room to investigate. I can't trust him out of the cage with the other two today, and if I leave him in the lounge in the small cage he'll be struggling to get out all day.
Rito is extremely lovable, and he is an wonderful little budgie. Aster and Dexter both want to be with him even though he's not very kind to them, and I love his company too. He's been coming over to see me more and more each day, without a millet bribe, and he's been climbing all over me and preening the stripes on my shirt. Dexter and Aster both love him too. But he is very, very full of himself at the moment, which is lovely to see as he's so happy and confident, but is also worrying as he gets so carried away too. He was strutting about on top of the TV with his chest puffed out and singing his head off shortly before the incident on top of the curtains
I hope Aster and Dexter get on ok today. There was a bit of tension between them yesterday too and they had a squabble on top of the cage yesterday too with Rito looking on. They were quite calm around each other for the rest of the evening and got to bed nicely, but I am a little worried about how they will get on today.

That's a worry, Criswell. I do so hate it when my buds fall out.
I've had a few incidents with Squeak over the last week. She has recently emerged as the dominant budgie, the first time I've had a single individual at the top of their hierarchy (every birb in the Flock has always had at least one boss). She has indulged in full-on dominance behaviour a few times but thanks to some earlier schooling, I usually only have to show her the squirter for her to decide to do something else. I am very fortunate indeed that the birbs only get very limited time unsupervised by me. If I had to be away for hours at a time, every day, I would worry what was going on in my absence although of course, were that the case, I wouldn't have nearly so many budgies in the first place.
I suppose the answer in your case is to separate Rito whilst you cannot supervise and then watch carefully when they are all together. In my case, I feel I have had to take steps to actively discourage excessive dominance behaviours although that approach may not be to everyone's taste. I've seen that budgies can learn from experience.
Best of luck to you and your flock.

Thanks loz .
I have given Rito a few squirts with the spray bottle and they all take notice when I have it in my hand, but that's no help if he's up to no good on top of the curtains.
I've had Rito in my teaching room for the past couple of hours but didn't dare let him out in case I couldn't get him back in again but we've been listening to music and chatting. He's back in the lounge again with me now as the other 2 were calling for him so much, even though he wasn't calling for them. They are very pleased to see him now and they have obviously missed him. He's now fussing to be let out so I might have to take him out of the room again. Dexter and Rito are now talking to each other really nicely through the bars. I really don't know what to do with them

Amending Rito's behaviour will be a process, not a task. It would be nice to be able to completely relax, safe in the knowledge that there will be no serious budgie squabbles but that isn't a realistic expectation. Budgies are little lunatics at times, they will always need a careful eye watching over them.
Eventually, I believe Rito will calm down, if you can prevent his current aggressiveness becoming a habit.
