Hey every one.... I have noticed that Elfs feathers are looking pretty scruffy and im not sure why? He had quite a big long moult before christmas...He eats tiny bits of veg but really not alot or enough...He hates baths so i have to spray him which he detests...He doesnt seem bored although maybe he is as he seems to love to preen alot plus today i have noticed him tugging abit maybe hes lonely .. This is a pic of his wings, his tail feathers are also very scruffy, woundered if it was down to any of the above or maybe due to central heating or something completely different

My Ernie has a few feathers like that but I put it down to the fact he is moulting. She looks like she has had a shaggy perm...very cute.

Don't know Moogie. Has he had a bath recently? - perhaps he would like one?

Oh wow, ive not seen that before Moogie, it actually looks lovely, like that beautiful soft wool you buy. I would love to know what is going on, it could just be the new growth coming through, be interesting to see. Fluffy little bird

I've never encountered this fluff-ball effect when moulting. It won't be anything to do with not eat veggies. I doubt it's the moult somehow. Maybe the heating? Perhaps, I'm not sure.
How long has Elfie been all fuzzy like this?

Like when we wash our hair without conditioner and the lack of oils makes the hair go fluffy.
