Sorry to start a new thread so please merge this post if you want. I couldn't remember where we chatted about this.
Anyway, mine is coming up well

Wow!! I think I started mine at the same time as you blue48 and it's done absolutely nothing!! I suspect my millet may be dead My pot is sat in the sunshine next to my first attempt at making my own sourdough starter which also seems to be doing absolutely nothing I think we were all inspired by pics from jellybean but I can't find the post now either, sorry. On a positive note, I dug out some old seeds a couple of days ago and sowed a mix of basil, rocket and dill and I have 2 sprouts - success! As long as Willow doesn't have to depend on my home grown offerings he'll be fine. Just as an aside it's now 10 days since I placed an order with Haith's. I've been chasing it every couple of days and was told they were working to make up/bag seed mixes and that it should be sent in the next couple of days. Today they confirmed it still hadn't been dispatched and so agreed to split the order and send out the Bravo seed asap, followed by the egg biscuit food once it's been made. I appreciate that they are having difficulties, running on a skeleton staff and that all deliveries are taking longer than usual but if anyone's waiting for anything from Haith's it might be worth chasing to see if/when it will be dispatched rather than assuming it's on its way as I did (it was a phone order so didn't show up on my online account which meant I couldn't track it).

I am watering mine more than twice a day willowsmum. I give it a pretty good soaking in the mornings and probably 3 sprays a day. My millet was quite old and dry too. My big mistake was filling the pot almost to the top with compost, which has now swollen and has risen an inch above the top of the pot, so watering is a messy business.

Well willowsmum I'm in the same boat - nothing sprouted. Wondering if I should start over or just water the pot more often?

helenmat yes, I've done that too. In fact I called the day after placing my order to add the egg biscuit softfood and it turns out this is what's been holding it up as they're waiting for it to be made. Never mind, the seed is on it's way now. Glad you got yours so promptly. jellybean thanks for confirming the thread. I'm not going to go back and look at your pic as it'll just make me jealous! tweetiepiesmom I'm going to take blue48 advice (thanks!) and water it a bit more often. Fingers crossed there's life in it yet.

When I looked very close at my pot, I saw a couple (yes, 2) seeds had sprouted so I'm going to stick with it and water more often to see if I get more.

I'm going to get some millet growing tomorrow. I think I've got some spinach seeds left over from last year and I'm sure I have some basil too.
